Since 2004 Shoe Shuffle in Dubbo has been the go-to place for women in the know when they want to perfectly match their outfit to their accessories. “Accessorising is very important when it comes to completing an outfit,” stresses manager Lee Sutcliffe,“There is no point in having a beautiful dress with shoes that don’t match.”

“Women in the country are very stylish and modern, but like to get quality for their money,” she continues. “They appreciate a well-made product from quality materials that fit well.” Taking this brief into account, Shoe Shuffle stock a large range of labels that can’t be found in most chain retail stores. “Because we are an independent store we are able to offer more individuality, not just in the labels we stock but in the fact that we actively search for matching handbags and jewellery to go with the shoes we have in stock.”

From the conception, Shoe Shuffle has only expanded on its original brief of providing stylish footwear at all price points. They now have a more extensive range of bridal and evening shoes and accessories in response to customerdemand and have a customer service ethos of going to great lengths to ensure a customer gets that ‘perfect’ shoe for their outfit or occasion.

Shoe Shuffle in Dubbo ensure their customers step out in co-ordinated style with all manner of footwear and accessories. A case in point is my mother-in-law, who purchased her Mother of the Groom heels from Shoe Shuffle. With a size 10 foot she regularly finds it difficult to find attractive shoes in her size, but the ladies at Shoe Shuffle knew which of their labels catered to larger sizes (and more importantly, which ones would be comfortable for a night spent on the dance floor!) and made sure my mother-in-law left with the perfect pair.

“Dubbo is a great location as we are in the heart of the Central West,” says Lee. “We get a lot of customers coming from further out West – they don’t have to travel to Sydney to shop when they can come and see us.” In addition, the shop’s position on Talbragar street has meant it is surrounded by fashion, lingerie and jewellery stores (plus there’s a sports store across the road for the men, so they’re happy to wait while the women shop!)

The actual interior of Shoe Shuffle is elegant and modern, with advice from an interior designer the colour scheme features soft green and dusty lilac with a light timber floor to create a calming feeling and not overwhelm the floor stock – which is fabulous in its own right!

The key distinction to Shoe Shuffle is that it is essentially a mini-department store, with shoes, bags, luggage and jewellery all in the one shop. “We cater to women of all ages and for all occasions; brides, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, formals, debs, race wear, work wear, day wear…anyone who wants beautiful shoes!”
