History

Whitney’s Jewellers was established in 1919 by the late Herb Whitney. In 1955 Peter Carolan joined his grandfather Herb and his uncle, the late Bob Whitney in the business. The trio built together a solid business with quality jewellery, giftware and watchmaking services. Peter Carolan’s dedication for over 50 years together with his wife Patsy’s eye for detail and exceptional customer focus further grew the business into two stores. Their dedication to the business allowed their daughter Gina Brown to join the family business in 1995. Gina’s husband, international award winning jeweller, Warren Brown joined the business shortly thereafter.
